Today is the International Day of the Girl Child.

This year’s theme—“The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis”—celebrates the courage, leadership, and resilience of girls around the world.

From local grassroots sports to global platforms, we must continue to create safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces for girls to thrive in sports. Whether as athletes, coaches, agents, lawyers, physiotherapists or administrators, their voices and talents matter.

In my work, I’ve seen how girls rise above barriers to lead and inspire.

Let’s keep investing in their potential, amplifying their voices, and building systems that support their dreams.
